January 20th-a bit of parody

The Disney company has been involved in many great partnerships over the years, but one of my favorites has been collaboration with Jim Henson Company.  I get a kick out of Muppet Vision 3-D every time I see it, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the new digitized film during my upcoming trip.

My daily Disney devotion for January 20th deals with a Jim Henson property.  I was once again in my kitchen, preparing breakfast and listening to NPR, when a story comes on the radio about Masterpiece Theatre.  My ears perked up because I'm a huge fan of Masterpiece on PBS, especially any of their Austen remakes (Colin Firth will always be MY Mr. Darcy).  Anyway, I was not expecting a Disney reference, but low and behold, the conversation switched from discussing period costumes to parodies of the famous Masterpiece Theatre opening, and who do I hear over my radio, none other than Cookie Monster,  introducing Monsterpiece Theatre, in his best  Alistair "Cookie" persona.
