January 16th- A tribute to Rose and Crown
January 16th was a very busy day for me and my family, it was the day of my son, Everett's, baptism; however, I still managed to fit in one distinctly Disney element into the day. The baptism ceremony was at 2:15 in the afternoon, so my husband Mark and I decided to host a brunch beforehand. That way our family would still be able to get home to Connecticut that evening. We chose for our location, Murphy's Grand Irish Pub, a place that both has an excellent brunch and also happens to remind me of the Rose and Crown at Epcot. I love the Rose and Crown, and it is a very frequent stop on our Disney trips. I usually order a Harp, but I've been known to have a car bomb or two in the right company. Since it was brunch, I stuck with Mimosas, but everything from the accents of the waitstaff to the warm wood paneling and mirrored bar, reminded me of the Rose and Crown, the only thing missing was Illuminations. For my Daily Disney devotion for January 16th, I hosted a brunch tribute to the Rose and Crown.
