This weekend was a pretty busy one, and I was worried about being able to keep up with my daily Disney devotions. We held my son, Everett's, baptism on Sunday, and we had family in town all weekend, but this weekend just goes to show, that if you are living a Disney-centric life, magical things can happen anytime. everywhere.
A really unexpected piece of Disney magic occurred on Saturday, we had my family over at our home, and my parents took this time to present Everett with one of his baptismal gifts. They had been pretty secretive about the whole thing, so I had no idea what to expect. My parents gave me a large, flat box to open, and what was inside surprised and touched me. When I opened the box, I found a framed stock certificate for the Disney company. My parents had bought Everett his very first share of Disney stock. What an incredibly special and meaningful gift, now Everett owns a piece of the company which has touched his life so profoundly already, and I can only hope will continue to be a big part of our family. My daily Disney devotion for January 15th was having Everett become Disney's littlest stockholder.
