January 10th- All in the family
The Disney corporation is so much more than just theme parks and animated films. The Disney company also distributes films through Miramax and Touchstone pictures, it has a theatrical production division, it distributes both soundtracks and original music through three different music labels, it has a huge merchandising division, and its media arm encompasses both ESPN, Soapnet, and ABC. These different divisions are showcased throughout Disney's Hollywood Studios, in the Great Movie Ride and Backlot tour, during ESPN the Weekend and Super Soap Weekends, and in the ABC Commissary.
I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of sports or soap operas, but I do really enjoy ABCs primetime programing. One of my favorites is Grey's Anatomy, and while I love the show, I am perpetually one season behind. I don't know if anyone else remembers the huge Grey's Anatomy billboard that was in DHS, but it used to hang over the ABC Commissary. For my daily Disney Devotion for January 10th, I began my catch up marathon, watching episodes of Grey's Anatomy season 6 on netflix.
